Давайте общаться на английском. Это так развлекает!

Patrick Russ
Good idea. I am not really a topic starter, though. :)
Svetlana Volk
yeah... me either.
Patrick Russ
Oh well, I guess we're screwed then....At least until someone takes the initiative - I'm too lazy.
Svetlana Volk
there are too many discussion here already. People just start topics and leave - sucks! - every day like 5-6 new topics even though there are plenty of similar ones. we should ask admins to delete old topics or to combine them somehow. it's ridiculous!
Anushik Movsesyan
hi)
Viktoria Medyakova
Hi is a new topic)))
Galina Taranuschenko
evening
Peter Musiyenko
What's up Dias... how are u doing?
Peter Musiyenko
u guys, if u want to improve your English, you may register in Facebook...
Hurshid Karimov
hi Anusha, and Victoria... and evening Galya.. how are you girls ?
Svetlana Volk
here is an interesting site to chat:

http://www.teenchat.com/
Andrey Lubentsov
Wow.. someone offered us to help in the interpretation of the song texts..:)
here is yr ex:

"Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies
Tongue-tied and twisted, just an earth-bound misfit, I"

(Pink Floyd.. learning to fly)
nice thing.. but I can only understand that his head is swimming../ is that right?
Patrick Russ
I know somewhere in the song he mentions that ice is forming on his wing - so this would cause the airplane to stall, inducing a spin. Hence the circling sky.

Or he could be singing about "vertigo".

But yes, you are correct - his head is swimming.
Andrey Lubentsov
thanx... really kind from u:)
would u like to have the next? :)

And you, you'll be blessed
You'll have the best
I promise you that
I'll pick a star from the sky

Pull your name from a hat

(Elton John)

THe song is about 20 years old and I still don´t know what he wanted to say:)
Pull yr name from a hat?
what does that mean?
Hurshid Karimov
to understand that shit... one should be gay i guess... )
Vita Klimenko
Wisper words of wisdom: Let it be.
Vladimir Belikov
For Андрей lubenchik Лубенцов

"Blessed"
Music: Elton John
Lyrics: Bernie Taupin

You can find it anywhere, for instance, here: http://www.eltonography.com/songs/blessed.html

"Pull your name from a hat" - what it means, in my perception.

A magician pulls different things from a hat, like rabbits, doves, ribbons of different colors, flowers and many other interesting and beautiful things.

This song is a song of a father of a newly-born baby addressed to his baby. And the father wants everything the best to his baby, he is ready to pick up a star from the sky. And he has to give a name to the baby, so he is ready to pull it out from a hat, like a magician, and this should be something interesting and beautiful.

These words of the song of Elton John do not actually belong to Elton John. He wrote the music. The words (the lyrics) was written by another person, by Bernie Taupin.
===========
For Hurshid Karimov:

One need not to be gay to understand feelings of a father of a newly born baby.
Patrick Russ
Pulling something from a hat = Randomly.

Vladimir is correct too.
Alexandra Skorobogatko
I like Elton John. He has a wonderful voice but the texts of his songs are rather difficult for understanding)
Igor Litvinenko
Александра ♥♡♥ Скоробогатько, I agree with you :) Most beautiful Elton John song is "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word". Very cool song.
Igor Litvinenko
New theme of talk:
Someone have game console Xbox 360? What games do you have for this console?
Konstantin Luchenkov
if I chide you sometimes, it is that I wish you well now!
Igor Litvinenko
Константин Лученков, you talk with me?
Marina Suslina
Let's speak about countries you want to visit. Why?
Igor Litvinenko
I want visit to USA and Britain :)
Yana Garipova
Hi. I was not here long. What are you talking about?
Yana Garipova
I've been visited USA and Britan :) like to travel. I'd like to visit France, it is more interesting for me))
Marina Suslina
about countries you wont to visit...
Marina Suslina
I want to visit USA and Britain too... I think it will be interesting.
Marina Suslina
Why do you want to visit France?
Igor Litvinenko
I want to visit France! But I don`t know Franch language :(
Marina Suslina
it will be helpful if you know english/ English is international language.
Alexandra Vurasko
i think it wont, not really, the French are rather snobbish and will avoid speaking any language other than French)
Alexander Levchenko
Good evening, comrades!

I dream about Application for trainin my vocabulary volume with couple of hundreds adjectives & verbs /translations & pronunciation

Are you know where I can find it?
Andrey Shevtsov
They say, that french people doesn't like people who speak any other language. Of course, they won't beat you for that...but just won't interest in you
Leysan Safina
Excuse me, Alex, but I think that the snobbery of the French is just a stereotype.
Alexandra Vurasko
not saying that they would beat you up, could treat you like shit though!)
well, depends on experiences, doesnt it? i have had plenty!
Pasha Makovsky
Keep talking
Igor Litvinenko
Ouh.. French have stereotypes? I didn`t know. I`d through they polite and good people.
Igor Litvinenko
Hmm... What do you think about German? :)
Alexandra Vurasko
Thanks for the Q, Igor! I like Germans a lot as well as Swiss Germans and Austrians/ Cant really tell why, i guess i just generally like their attitude towards work, friends, foreigners, their idea of having fun, passion for sports and travel, lots of things.
Igor Litvinenko
Alex, oo, it`s good :) You speak German? I learn German.
Anton Makarov
Hi!!!)
Alexandra Vurasko
As a matter of fact i do speak German quite fluently. Wie lange lernst du denn schon Deutsch?
Marina Iltybaeva
I had been learning German for three years but gave it up two years ago :(( I think that it's one of the most interesting and wonderful languages! But these die, der und das... I hated it really! wie ist das wetter heute? Das wetter heute ist nicht besonders gut. Wie heist du? Ich hiese Marina :)) and so on...
Papa Budu-acquah
i am bleamed with glee to see a russian who speaks or at least tries to speaks english, well if anybody wants to converse in english,i am all yours.
Leysan Safina
Good morning everybody)
Igor, I didn't say that the French were not polite and good people. I just said that it was a stereotype that they avoided speaking any language other than French.
Sergey Akulin
Hello, everybody!
The foreign languages are very important in nowadays. That's good, when you know two or three languages. It delevops very much...
Igor Litvinenko
Good morning :)
>I just said that it was a stereotype that they avoided speaking any language other than French.
Hmm.. Is so strange. Must be respected other languages.
Kamilla Galimova
I think so)
My English is so bad((
I want to Know it quite well...
Marina Suslina
Of course to know several languages it is very good, it develops and gives more possibilities...
Marina Suslina
and when you visit France to speak French///
Alexander Levchenko
Are you know where I can find it?

HEY!?!

ANYBODY HE-E-A-R ME-E?
Kamilla Galimova
Yea)
What can you find?
Elena Malkova
what the hell is going on over here? :)
hey guys! how r u today? ;)
Viktor Ivanov
Greetings everyone!

New in this topic and too lazy to read all messages inside :@

So who's going to tell me what is it about?
Hurshid Karimov
Nothing helly so far.. Welcome Lena!!!
Viktor Ivanov
Well thank you , but i didnt understood one of your words well. Will you explain what does "helly" mean?
Hurshid Karimov
Girl before me asked what the hell is going on.. I answered her , as the way she asked and made her "hell" word adjictive in informal way
Hurshid Karimov
So its same hell but not noun anymore but adjictive..
Elena Malkova
yess, smth like that. He was actually just playing with words. I could write smth like 'What the fuck is going on" haha. In this case he could answer like 'nothing fucking'
*sorry for my sense of humor :)
Hurshid Karimov
See Victor .. U can change english words too by adding "ing" or "...y" )
Lena , i see, u have pretty americalized humor huh.. ?! )
Patrick Russ
haha "nothing fucking" - no one in America would say that.....it would be "fucking nothing, man" or "none of your fucking business"......I understand your example though.
Elena Malkova
haha, yes :) but unfortunately americans can hardly catch it :)
by the way, my american name is Helen... heh, so I'm a lil bit hellish lol
Elena Malkova
Patrick Russ, thank you. I know that. My example is "nothing fucking" for people with russian mentality to understand :)
Patrick Russ
Ahh I see - well, I'll mind my own fuckin' business then. :)
Hurshid Karimov
Hell in.. Hmm ok )
Igor Litvinenko
Hello everyone :) Someone have PSP?
Elena Malkova
sorry, what is PSP? :)
Hurshid Karimov

Lyana Bushta

Elena Malkova

Lyana Bushta
Thаnks
Andrey Lubentsov
I thank a lot Vladimir and Patrick for helpfull and detailed explanation:)

would u like more complicate lyrics? please:)

"Dee do de de, dee do de de. I DON`T have NO time for NO monkey business":)
freddy mercury

TREE negations!
some ideas what should it mean and why so much no´s?
Vladimir Belikov
"I DON`T have NO time for NO monkey business"

I believe this is a distorted phrase "I do not have any time for any monkey business". "Cool" way of speaking in some subcultures.

I expect this is a result of influence of some other language or languages, where double negation is normal, like, for instance, in Russian.
Andrey Shevtsov
dual negation have become almost normal, especially in songs
Elena Malkova
ha, sure! have you ever mentioned that there are so many mistakes according to english grammar rules in a lot of songs? like 'She don't care' or 'it don't matter'?
Kamilla Galimova
Yes!) Why so?)
Tina Razina
Hii,everyone)Sorry for some mistakes cause I not so well speak English(

How are u today?
Hurshid Karimov
So far u are speaking pretty well.. ) we are doing great. How was day?
Kamilla Galimova
Olga, you want to tolk in English?)
Tina Razina
Day was boring enough expected from these days off something another

And at u?
Hurshid Karimov
I am busy.. No time to get bored.. Im actually at work right now.. Overloaded hours at work keep me alive lately. Since ur perfect english, i guess, u must be in US or UK.. Am i right?
Tina Razina
It is occupied by what is pleasant? It brings pleasure? If so it is very healthy) yes I think u are right
Hurshid Karimov
Turned out , there are type of people that keep the life ball rolling only when they feel some pressure. Im one of em. I keep very active and have active life, when i have very little time for everything.. When i used to live in New York, i got only one job, and i worked 6 hours , 5 days a week. And guess what i missed almost 50% of my classes and i never do gym while it was walking 1 min distance
Andrey Selitsky
Hello to everyone! I have one question, it is really difficult to write 'you' or it is american influence to use 'u'?
Hurshid Karimov
And now, i have 2 jobs where i spend more than 60 hours a week, i go college 3 times a week, 3 morning i go gym with trainer, i do all kinda activities like bowling , vallyball, hanging out with friends.. As u see, i like to be busy ))
Andrey Selitsky
Hurshid, where are you from?
Hurshid Karimov
Andrey, for both reason, its easy to type, and of course americans like to make things easier. And i third reason, why im using "u" cuz im typing through my phone..

Im from naples FL.
Igor Litvinenko
Hello everyone :) I have a quection: Who of you eat in MacDonalds? I love it ^_^ I`ll go to MacDonalds on saturday :)
Andrey Selitsky
I'm writing from my phone too, by the way)))
And I mean Motherland, where you was born?
Hurshid Karimov
Uzbekistan.
Dmitry Bychkov
Vovan, have you got an eyes? We write only in English
Andrey Lubentsov
here is a small help for Vovan...

friends
help, I bag Ya to tag
last pic on my wall as
"I like it", pls
I´d be gratefull
Patrick Russ
Andrey - ......."I don't have no time for no monkey business"

Essentially, this translate into - his time is valuable and should not be wasted on trivial or stupid things.

Hope that helped.
Andrey Selitsky
I understand about monkey and about business. To be truth I remember it from my childhood)))
Andrey Selitsky
Nobody want's to communicate...
Leysan Safina
I want))) Let's talk)) What topic can you offer?)
Alexander Volkhovsky
hello! Let's speak in English about music and films!
Vikulya Talalaeva
Fine,what's your favourite film?
Andrey Lubentsov
movies r by the way also very difficult to understand.. to make it a littl ebit easier I turn the subtitles on.. and what is yr way to better understanding of?
Elena Malkova
Oh yeah. Andrey, I know what u mean. As for me, watching movies in English is the best way of learning the language. And yes, at first I couldn't understand them coz especially americans speak soo fast so I turned the subtitles on as well as u do. But practicing it as more often as u can someday u'll understand that u dont actually need the subtitles any more :)
Andrey Shevtsov
Reading books in English is the best way of learning the language. That's why you're turn on subtitles. And it makes understanding A LOT easier.
But it's ok! I try to watch films only in English...twice if it necessary to understand all. Also it's very useful to look after all the changing in language, etc. neologisms, slang and so on...
Svetlana Drozd
The best and most effective way to learn AMERICAN English is to go abroad, I think!!!
Andrey Shevtsov
And stay there...
Marina Pazina
Hello everybody! I like English language, and i want to communicate with somebody!=)
Viktoria Yakovleva
Hello!))i,m Vika,I study in english school,at the moment we read: copperfield.who can help me with my homework?
Elena Malkova
Светик Angelok, you're absolutely right! it's definitely the best way! :)
Aynur Gilmutdinov

Ivan Ivanov
what's up guys?
I have a problem. I attend courses of english, but it is difficult for me sit behind the books and learn many words. I know if I go in USA I'll can lern Eng perfectly for 6 months..
So, what I should to do?
Elena Malkova
well, if you have an opportunity to come to the USA you should go there for sure! I know people who could hardly link two english words but after the trip to the US their level of knowledge became quite high. So it's up to you. Anyway, you should speak English a little bit to be able to express your feelings, emotions, wishes... whatever.
Andrey Selitsky
Trip to USA or England is my DREAM, but it's not a destiny to come truth.
Elena Malkova
why not? how years old are you, guy? If you're a student of any high educational establishment you can take part in some Students Exchange Programs. e.g. well-known Work&Travel. I've been a participant of this Program last summer, and I'm coming back to the USA this summer too! Can't wait to come there! bc America is really the country of dreams coming true! :)
Zhanna Gogoleva
Hi all :D
Elena Murenkova
Hi everyone !!! Trip to USA or England is my DREAM, too. I want to meet people, who live there and practise my English, but now I haven`t a opportunity
Bakyt Naurzalinov

Екатерина Гончарова

Hurshid Karimov
everything u like... so.. what's intersting for you to discuss ?
Andrey Lubentsov
wow.. all things... f.e. what does an Usbek in United States?:) by the way, I´m yr countryman... and also not in the Motherland:(
Marina Romanova
hello)
Olexandr Tesak
English language is cool,sometime...for example-2 years ago I went to Finland and I have to say, that it was amazing and funny trip!!!amazing because I've never been so far before, and because I had my first flight!!!even though I was 15years old that time, I was able to translate speech of ...that man who is checking up passport/maybe customer???but I have one big problem-I can't translate people who talk fast :(
Kamilla Galimova
I have the same problem!) We need to have a little bit of time to solve it!)
Baster Kiton
Hi everyone)
Alinka Yanina
yeah..it's really important problem...and when you speak with people from usa...oh...i can understand only some words
Patrick Russ
Trying to understand someone who speaks fast is like trying to understandallofthiswithoutanyspacesandpausesinonesspeech -itslikeitisallonebigword.

That's all a sentence is......one big word. My opinion.....
Natalya Laischeva
Oh.. this year Nigeria's gye studied with as. He didn't now russian, but he new english perfect! They learn it in school, they have lessons of physics or chemistry on english... I'm amased) But unfortunately we haven't seen him since november or desember
Alexandra Vurasko
Amazing! Especially considering that Nigeria's official language is English)))))
Andrey Lubentsov
wow.. nigerian people.. they r really funny... it´s right, they speak since childhood English, but their language sometimes doesn´t differ from original Nigerian..:)... I´m not native English speaker.. just amateur, but for my ear it was terrible to hear that broken, but fluent language:) but apart from that they r really nice people.
Igor Svetlichny
firstly i want say hello everybody. i wanted learn English 1 month ago, i read thred in this group and learn it.
I think i will downoload movies in English and hear language.
Alexander Maytakov
блиин я тут как лох никого не понимаю(((((((( помогите я тоже хочу как вы базарить на англ
Ksenia Kashirina
i like english and want it`s better study
Ilmir Sultan
Lo and behold!
Ilmir Sultan
Who wants to start a conversation with me ole cap'n?
Leysan Safina
I think that all our conversations add up only to phrases like "I want to talk", "Who wants to talk?" and so on)) Unfortunately I don't know how to shake up everybody)
Nadyushka Seleznyova
Hi! =) My name is Nadya. I am twelve. What's your name? How old are you? How are you?
Vladimir Belikov
Any conversation needs a subject. Without a subject a conversation is not a conversation. It is not even a chat or a smalltalk. It is not even a blah-blah-blah. It is raving of a mentally retarded person.
Ilmir Sultan
Vladimir Belikov
Ye now talkin' without subject. Trully retarded person!
Vladimir Belikov
Wazzup, Ilmir w Vakhitov!

A good subject, yeah? Real cool!
Leysan Safina
"Any conversation needs a subject" I absolutely agree, but I don't really know what subject will be interesting for everyone)) Maybe the weather?)))
"It is raving of a mentally retarded person." Hahha? I liked this)) But each speakers here have different levels, but at the same time everyone wants to talk)) So.. We can watch very interesting situation))
"retarded person" ha, good topic for discussion))) So, what do you think about them?))
Vladimir Belikov
Лейсан ♡⏝⎠⎷⎛⎝♡ Сафина, is it not funny? People want to communicate, but cannot think of a subject. They say "hello" to each other, say "let's talk", and then nothing happens. Looks like they have nothing to say.
Ilmir Sultan
Conversation without topic is okay! Whole our live is based on that.
Vladimir Belikov
Ilmir w Vakhitov, I won't dispute with you. I see no point in it.
Ilmir Sultan
Well, I does. Don't you mind that we will improve our English-spelling-thing with such a dispute or somethin'?
Leysan Safina
'They say "hello" to each other' - So, it means at least that they are well-bred)))
I think that they have a lot to say, maybe they just feel shy)))
Hey, come on everybody!)) Wake up!)) We don't bite))
\Gentlemen, I will be your cheerleader, if you don't mind)) \
Ilmir Sultan
Dispute also can be accepted as a conversation.
Ilmir Sultan
Yeah, we've a got a topic! Let's dispute everyone!
Vladimir Belikov
Ilmir, you wrote "Conversation without topic is okay". But now you offer me a topic - to feed the troll. You contradict yourself. And I am right - a conversation or a dispute, if you like, needs a subject, or a topic, at least a meaningless one.
Leysan Safina
Ha, and our topic for discussing is a retarded person)) Awesome!)) I hope that there are a lot of psychiatrists to keep the ball of conversation rolling)))
P.s. Ok, ok, I understood) Two's company, three's none. Good night, gentlemen)
Andrey Lubentsov
Oh, god! Leysan! Realy good move:) Strong position and power just to cut up without a noisly closed door! Respect.
Leysan Safina
Андрей Лубенцов, excuse me, I don't understand what did you mean. I guess that my English is not enough. Could you explain, please? Or it was a sarcasm and I can keep still?)
Andrey Lubentsov
no.. I think Yr language is much more better as my.. cause it´s Yr profession (please correct me, if I´m wrong:).
With my sentence I meant only how gently and amusing Y moved out from the last discussion.. not more... and "noisly closed door" = my version of translation "хлопнуть дверью") I have no idea how could I translate that...Y?
Leysan Safina
Maybe slamming the door , I don't know)
Ok, I understand)) Ha, so what could I do when two men had a discussion)) Nothing more than slipping away)))
Andrey Lubentsov
that was a point:) sometimes we r so busy with our important argumentation and losing thereby something special:)
Aleksandr Ulyanich
Hi everyone
Ilmir Sultan
No matter what topic is.
Ilmir Sultan
We still talkin' with each other. This is the point.
Lina Varnavskaya
Yeh, everybody talk about something that they like.
Do you like talk about art? Music?
Ima Husla
oh, sure...misic is my life))i can't spend my day if I don't listen to music))
Valeriya Lukyanova
what kind of music do you listen to?)
Andrey Lubentsov
that is fine, Ilmir! No trouble and no push! I´m really glad someone can communicate here unrestrained and keep the time along the mainstream of conversation:) cause sometimes it´s not really easy.
Ksenia Kirilova
Hi everyone! I'm only 12, I'd like to know English good and so I think that this place can help me=)). As I see u began to talk about music?
Igor Svetlichny

Vasia Piyadov
yeah, 'cos I don't trust the names such they have))
Kamilla Galimova
are you hate them too?)))
Vasia Piyadov
don't know yet...)))))))
Patrick Russ
Don't waste your time with them :)
Vasia Piyadov
d'oh, the man who knows them detected ))) tell us what is it? too lazy to use google...
Patrick Russ
Miley Cyrus and Justin Bieber are "entertainers" for 10 year old girls......and you don't look like a 10 year old girl.

.....Or have I mistaken your true identity?
Vasia Piyadov
... and in my mind Mike Patton is great musician!! one big of my favorites!
Vasia Piyadov
yes, you are right.. fortunately, i'm not a 10 y girl) Now I understand everything about these "entertainers", thanks..
Patrick Russ
......No shit? Now we have something to talk about!!

Talk to me about Patton :)
Vasia Piyadov
No shit, really! For the first time I heard Mike 8 years ago.. Mr.Bungle - his first band, you know! It's fucking great! Faith No More was later, I know the story how Mike was invited in FNM.. very funny story)
Now Mr.Bungle is disbanded, I'm so sad...
Patrick Russ
Haha Yeah, Mr. Bungle was one of a kind......"California" was one of the greatest albums ever. Really good stuff on that album.

Well, do you know Faith No More is touring...? Unfortunately, they will be disbanding after the tour. I believe they played in Moscow a few months ago.....

Patton has been in many different projects since Bungle disbanded.....Peeping Tom, Tomahawk, Lovage, Fantomas.......a lot of stuff.
Anton Kalagastov
Hello boys and girls. Can you admit a novice, in your company?

Ekaterina Korneeva
Hi.I am Kate.I live in Schyolkovo.Now it's snowing.
Leysan Safina
Alexandr, why do you think that there isn't any topic?) Gentlemen discussed music, so we can continue talking about it)
Катюша, hi, pretty girl)) In Kazan it's snowing too. Do you like such weather?
Aleksandr Ulyanich
music seems to be a topic for teenagers, and it's a passive way to rest
Alexander Dishlivenko
music isn’t the rest. its physical requirement of our body. proved by scientists
Aleksandr Ulyanich
requirement of our body - u mean dancing?
Alexander Dishlivenko
I mean music like a drug
Anton Kalagastov
Hey peoples. What you think about, decision of our president. I talk about abolition of transfer on a winter time, already in this year. I right write? Without breaks?
Roman Strukov
Don't need to do it, I think. I can't see good reason.
Ksenia Kirilova
Is there anybody who also knows "The Rasmus"? Ilike them
Alexander Dishlivenko
Anton Kalagastov, you must to work over your questions
Roman Strukov
Ksenia, what kind of music do they play??
Ksenia Kirilova

Their most popular song is "In The Shadows" and I'm sure you've heard this song
Andrey Lubentsov
Rasmus is really cool thing.. have always in my mp3 / but I like much more as "in the shadow" later themes of them, f.e. dancer in the dark.. or living in the world without u.. they r good boys

Михаил Иванов, there are at least two topics in this group, which are devoted to talking on Skype.

One of them is this (last updated on 22.01.2011):

There are over 200 Skype logins in it, see for yourself.

The other has not been updated since quite a long time ago and has become buried under other topics.

May I try to put some sense in this discussion thread, at least, for a short time?

I offer everyone to express his/her opinion on the following:

Everyone has heard of global warming, Some people believe that this is a real threat to humanity - it may change our climate and our living considerablyб and these changes will be disastrous. Others insist that this is a myth invented by scientists in order to get public money for their unnecessary research programs.

What do you think of this? Please add some arguments supporting your opinion.

I don't insist on this subject, though.
Anton Mescheryakov
I think it is not a myth.
Honestly, at this moment I don't have enough proven information to make a conclusion how the global warming can affect climate on our planet. The information which I can get from the internet or TV in most cases is based on political games where global warming is used as an instrument of approaching political goals. I can get some statistical data on temperature gradient all over the planet but I am not a weather scientist to interpret it in a right way. However I can see visual indication of global warming. As example it is amount of ice in Arctic region. It is reducing dramatically. Or it can be increased sea level in many countries.
Anyway I think that carbon emissions problem is overrated in comparison to other waste problem, as example nitrogen oxide waste. I prefer to think that we - humans create a lot of different waste, garbage which has more harmful effect than carbon emissions and which should be recycled properly.
Vladimir Belikov
Anton, I believe you've made a good point about political games. Indeed, I noticed myself many times that global problems are used for achieving political ends.
Ekaterina Tonkacheva

Hey people.. just carry out a simple experiment.. take a jar full of snow and put it on the the cooker - first position of power. NOte the time the snow needs to become a water. After that take the jar with the same amount of snow and repeat it with second power position. Note the time. I think the result is clear.. some thing in the world do not need to beleive or not to beleive in:) it's just a physics.. not more

hi!I want learn the english language!but i dont know how learn it easyli! ;(maybe somebody know how! plaese tell me!
Vladimir Belikov
Ksju6a17 Ksju6a17, there are no ways to learn a foreign language easily. If there were, all people would know several foreign languages. Think of this, and you'll see that this is true.

>If there were, all people would know several foreign languages

I can guess the real "problem" is that there is no necessity for the Russians, Ukrainians etc to study FL, since they're surrounded by the Russian-speaking nations and countries. For example in the Netherlands most than half of population knows two or even three languages as the country borders with lots of different verbal environments. There are no complicated things if you really have a fancy for something (or simply don't want to be a coolie, just kidding).
Dmitry Krutykh
Rather, you are certanly right and your statement concerning knowledge of EL is true. All people know that it's not compulsory for them to study it hard but anyhow they do it some of them want to know more or earn a lot of money then today. EL is international language and it helps you to work abroad, meet a lot of interesting people.
I worked with one well-known Dutch company and working language for all personnel was EL.
Viktory Benevolent
I'm glad you are agreed on it with me and have understood my poor English as well.

>working language for all personnel was EL.
Sounds really well since I am dying for some real experience except my studies.

Wish you good night.

Викторий Беневолент

Vladimir Belikov
Викторий Accelerator: 2.0 You Can (Not) Беневолент, True, in the Netherlands nearly everybody can speak English (my estimation - between 70% and 85% of people), and many know more than one foreign language. But does this mean that Dutch people know a secret way of learnign foreign languages easily? It does not. They have more motivations. As one of my Dutch friends explained me, "The Dutch is a small nation, not many people want to learn our language. That is why we learn languages of other people". And Dutch people are very serious about learning foreign languages, they invest a lot of time and money in this. In the Netherlands I met even tram drivers, bus drivers, plumbers and cleaning workers who can speak good English. Taxi drivers, hotel receptionists and many shop assistants usually speak more than one foreign language.

What you are absolutely right about, and I completely agree with you, is motivation. In Russia, Ukraine and other countries of the former Soviet Union there is a lack of motivation.
Vladimir Belikov
Ilmir w Vakhitov, you are right,
"I came, I saw, I conquered" is a better version, closer to the original.
Kolya Shaykhizamov
es-es you all right
Andrey Lubentsov
Hm.. I´ve heard about one another reason for multilingual skills of hollander. This is an old nation since hundreads of years trading all over the world valluable goods.. f.e. diamond trading, pepper and coffee are almost completely iin the hand of holland trading corporations. In order to be successfull in their business they had to speak another languages - to communicate for the sale profit. Therefore English, as a languge of colonial power. Netherlads have borders to Germany and France.. and the best trading parthner is as usually an immediate neighbour - that#s why German and French..
Ruslan Safiullin
I wanna going to the USA. And I think that USA it is very cool countries. But I don t know English very good.
Vladimir Belikov
Андрей lubenchik Лубенцов, true, Holland used to be one of the greatest marine empires, competed with Great Britain for dominance over seas and oceans, conquered many lands and was a trading nation. Indeed, in old times learning foreign languages was to a great extent motivated by these activities. Now Holland is still an important trading ground for the whole Europe and the world, though nothing to compare with the past.

But it is also true that the Dutch is a small nation (with the population of about 15 mln people). In some former colonies of the Netherlands many people still speak Dutch. However, it would be pointless and too expensive to promote learning the Dutch language in other countries, that is why Dutch people believe that learning foreign languages is important for them.
Асель Жабагина
Ruslan Saphiullin you'll improve your english if you go to the USA! Good luck))
Roman Strukov
Vladimir Belikov, how old are you?? It's very interesting to know, and how long have you learned english??
Vladimir Belikov
Роман Chetvertiy Струков, I'm 50. I learned English in school, then in university, received the highest grades, but the outcome was very typical - I did not know the language. Then I decided that I needed to know the language, and started to learn it on my own. It was in 1987. Soon after that English became my hobby. In 1995 I decided that my English was good enough for most applications (except, maybe, becoming a literary translator or an English writer). Since then learning English has not been a special activity of mine. But I do improve my English just in the course of life, and I use it every day.
Anton Mescheryakov
Vladimir, what do you do in your life? Does English help you in your work?
Andrey Lubentsov
I think ... the only WISH is not enough!... I mean thounsends of people would like to speak another language, but without the strain and effort it stays only a wish. The strong Will - that is a key to success in the foreign language learning. Continuty shoould also prospeous reward someone who has a big aim:)
Andrey Shevtsov
"You have the heart, but you don't have the soul... wait, you have the soul, but you don't have the heart... wait scratch that, you have the heart and the soul, but you don't have the talent."
Andrey Lubentsov
is that a citation or yr own thought?.. don´t forget that someone said: "success = 99% of hard work and only 1% of talent"
Olexandr Tesak
no,no and again no. Success its part of fate, part of luck, part of hard work and part of talent. If you mix it in right way ,you will have success surely.
Liana Gaynanova
я ничего не поняла!!! Вы все так хорошо английский знаете?
Andrey Shevtsov
this is the citation. The Chief in South Park said that to the children whom he tried to teach dance. Kind of humour))))
Andrey Shevtsov
Лиана Гайнанова
No! We're just pretend.
Andrey Shevtsov
Андрей Лубенцов
Ok. But if a person haven't this 1% of talent, where he'll find it?)

It took away 5 years of school, 5 years of univercity, and 5 years of self-training to write and speak english poorly)))) but I don't loose my hope!)
Andrey Lubentsov
Hey, Namesake! U have to know that the number of really talented people in the world is very low.. therefore let´s try to evaluate the word "success"....I have f.e. a similar background in respect of my English knowledge and I consider the case (I mean that 2 Russian can communicate in English on the social network platform) as success! I do it with an aim to improve my writing and communicative skills in English.. it means today evening I can more as yesterday and this fact is also success in my eyes.. so I c U don´t loose Yr hope and U´ll have a success for sure:)
Andrey Shevtsov
Thanx)
Vladimir Belikov
Антон Мещеряков, I am answering your question. Frankly speaking, I do not like to write or talk a lot about myself, so please do not ask me for more. Besides there is nothing special about me and hardly anything interesting. But anyway.

Actually, I am a university teacher, but I do not teach English. Sometimes (rather infrequently) I give lectures in English or translate lectures of my colleagues from Russian into English (when foreign students come to my university) or from English into Russian (when foreign lecturers visit us). Occasionally I do translations of scientific, technical, economic and legal texts (for money) and help other people to maintain business correspondence with their foreign partners (also for money). Also I use English for expanding my mental horizons, for acquiring new professional knowledge and for entertainment. I like reading fiction books in English, I listen to the BBC podcasts every day (programs about science and technology, economics, business and politics).
Vladimir Belikov
To Андрей Лубенцов and Андрей Шевцов.

I've read your discussion with interest. And I would like to insert my two cents in it. I know that even very talented people admit than their successes were 1% due to their talents and 99% due to their hard work. So, even people without that 1% can achieve a lot, if they apply the other 99%. Of course, there are areas of activities where that 1% is absolutely essential - different fine arts. On the other hand, any person has at least a small talent at least for something.
Liana Gaynanova
I really want to speak English, but at school we learn German! PE!!! ну почему все так не справедливо?! а?!
Elena Kostina
As for me,I'd like to learn how to communicate in English but I absolutely cannot express my thoughts orally(((
Aydar Ishaev
I think that english is very good languages/
Andrey Lubentsov
for sure .. everybody has a talent for something - the biggest problem ist to recognise it at proper time / dear parents, please stop talking and listen to me intently:)/ the talent needs a breeding ground and should be carefully cultivated. If we were more attentive to our children, we would have much more brilliant talents on our planet.. by the way.. has anybody any talents here? just only to say after "I´ve chated years ago with the star:)!"
Anton Mescheryakov
to Vladimir Belikov: Thanks for reply. Looks like you have a lot of other activities at work in addition to your teacher practice. I would agree with your point that English can expand you mental horizons. I would say that English can give you a chance to review your life experience from another point of view. Point of someone who grown up in different culture. Of course language can't represent a whole culture but it is a key for understanding the culture.
Max Nikiforov
hi my name is maxim
Andrey Shevtsov
My name is Max. Everything sucks! I'm trying to relax. Yea, everything sucks. (c)
Maria Voloshenko
Oh, I am realy interesting of your discussion about talents)) I think that if we want to reach something, we just have to work about it. I never thought before, that I`ll want to learn English, I needn`t it in school, in college too. But only one teacher in university could wake my mind. And I see some resoults of my work.
Sometimes we burying our talents into the ground, or talk to us that we haven`t time, that we are too bisy. It`s not true! We can find a few time, if we want to find it! I wish all of you great sucsesses)))
Romych Kulikov
Dear mary...practise makes perfect....You still have some gaps you should to fill) so work harder and everything;s gunna be all right
Valentina Astashova
Hi everybody! I'm from Astana, Kazakhstan. Now I'm looking for English speaking club. It'll be the to organize this club by myself, but I can't find native speaker(((

Yes, Maria.. it really depends on the teacher... my school teacher was f.e. a really good speaker, but a very bad teacher. And in contrast to him my teacher at the University was a young pretty girl just after institute:) so one can imagine that all of us boys were crazy about English:)
Сергей Миронов
