When somebody mentions the term “English-speaking” countries we tend to first think of the UK, Canada, America, and Australia. However, the list is much more extensive. Let’s explore Africa and find out in which countries of this continent English is a commonly spoken language.

Nigeria

Nigeria takes the West Coast of Africa. The English language was first taught in its capital — Abuja. Apart from English being an official language Nigerians have the ability to speak 500 more languages and dialects.
